Alpha conducted a baseline assessment survey for the justice system in Palestine.  The baseline assessment survey was based on interviewing all court heads, lawyers, and prosecutors.  Alpha also reviewed the efficiency of the court system in Palestine by studying the average life case life (the time from filing date to disposition date).  This survey was done to help donor's projects identify the needs of the court system in Palestine, in addition to measure certain baseline indicators before the intervention process. A USAID supported project called NETHAM, implemented through DPK consulting, was to make use of the survey results and the baseline indicators.

Alpha conducted a baseline survey for the USAID funded project HANAN. 

This survey was based on interviewing 2000 women in reproductive age, as well as conducting anthropometric measurements for children under the age of 5 for the households included in the sample.  Through the anthropometric measurements, important baseline indicators were measured such as: stunting, wasting and anemia.  More indicators were involved in this survey that reflected attitudes, knowledge and practices of women in the reproductive age.  This survey was to be conducted on a periodic basis through the duration of the project to monitor the influence of the project on mother and child health in  the targeted areas.

Conducted a baseline survey for the Palestinian Minister Council.  The baseline assessment was based on interviewing 1500 households in the West Bank and Gaza and inquiring about their needs and demands from the appointed government under the leadership of the Prime minister Ahamad Qurie (Abu Alaa).   The initiative of the survey was to define baseline perception indicators about the government, and to monitor them on a periodic basis to measure shifts in the public satisfaction with the government.   (May 2005).

The study was based on a probability sample of 1100 clients of the Arab Bank. The survey was conducted using exit interview methodology at all branches of the Arab Bank in the West Bank and Gaza.

Objective of the Study:

The regional management of the Arab Bank was interested in evaluating customer satisfaction at the branch level.

 Alpha team designed a customer satisfaction score that was used to assess the performance of the managers at the branches of the Arab Bank.

Alpha performed the design and implementation of a Baseline Survey on Civics Attitudes, Perceptions and Practices Amongst University Students In Palestine.

This involved the definition of appropriate civic indicators using a participatory approach, and the implementation of two school surveys involving a sample of 1000 students from all Palestinian universities.  The initiative behind the survey was to map the university students’ civic attitudes, knowledge, and practices. 

Alpha was responsible for the design of the indicators through working with a specialized research team on the areas of civic education, democracy, and governance.  Moreover, alpha was also responsible for implementing the survey in terms of :

·            Interacting with the ministry of education to get permission for schools access.
