Bashar Masri is the Chairman of the Board and General Director of Massar International, the company he founded in 1994 with the idea that private sector development is the path ("massar" in Arabic") that leads to Palestinian economic development and growth. He actively promotes business opportunities available in the Palestinian private sector for foreign investors from all over the world. Under Mr. Masri's energetic leadership, Massar International has grown to include 15 successful subsidiaries, with operations in Palestine , Jordan , Morocco , the UAE, Egypt and Eastern Europe . His unique combination of technical ability and entrepreneurial drive led to his naming as a "Global Leader of Tomorrow" by the World Economic Forum.
Mr. Masri is a chemical engineer with more than 25 years of experience in industrial management,
international trade development and management consulting. In addition to his professional
work, Mr. Masri is the current Palestinian Chapter Chairman of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).
Mr. Masri serves on the boards of numerous private sector and philanthropic organizations.
The father of two daughters, he also runs a charitable foundation which provides financial
aid for higher education for promising young Palestinians
